These here look very much like what we call Bettags-Blรผemli in Switzerland – a tiny aster in blue or purple, which used to bloom around the (movable) ‘Thanksgiving’ Day…. In CH it is always on the 3rd Sunday of September, whether the harvest is ripe and done or not – mine in France have been blooming for the past 3 or so weeks.
aah, now that I see them in large (and with my glasses on!), I can see that they are NOT what I thought. This is so lovely, especially when viewed in this large format. Thank You
