Yes, my first attempt. I’m hoping for good results because I eat a lot of them these days. I’d like to grow the long slender ones, which are great in my favourite stir-fry.
What sorts of things do you grow in your veggie garden, Su? It will be interesting in Arizona to see what I can grow, certainly many herbs! Some people have rosemary bushes that are huge!
I grow a lot of herbs (including rosemary which is getting quite big), plus tomatoes, capsicum, eggplant, summer leaves, beans, and quite a lot of fruit. My gardening is a bit patchy — I’m experimenting and trying to understand the soil and climate more, so it’s a but hit and miss. I need a couple of extra raised beds (and a few more hours in the day) to grow serious amounts of food.
Don’t wait too long or someone else might pick it before you! Don’t know about your local birds but could well be they develope a taste for aubergines. 😉
what a striking contrast

It can only get better! When are you going to pick them?

I think the first ones should be ripe in the next few days, but I’m not sure.
