I have never thought of this, if my tarragon grows back I will give it a go. I have made both basil and rosemary and chilli oil before which worked well.
Flavoured oils are so nice! I made rosemary salt recently and I am very partial to that. It works surprisingly well sprinkled on pear and rocket salads.
Thanks Jude. I did plan to start a separate blog for recipes, and still think it’s a good idea but I’m struggling to find time. That does sound lame though doesn’t it? 🤨
From someone who has 3 blogs, I’d say don’t have a separate one, just start incorporating them into this one. Your fabulous food photos are always well received so not difficult to add the recipe to the post.
I wanted to separate them because I enjoy the challenges and community here, and my alternative “making things” blog idea didn’t quite fit. But since I haven’t actually done anything about it, maybe I need to revisit the idea.
I haven’t made Sesame Salt in years. My daughter found the jar with spoon I used to keep it in so maybe I sound again. Just toast the sesame seeds and crush with rock salt or flakes
I like ‘estragon’ and I’m sure that your tarragon vinegar will taste just fine.

I see your point. The reason I have kept my garden and flower blog separate is because it appeals to some people but not all.

I’ve not thought of herbs. I just do chili and garlic oils

Yum; I do like flavoured oils!
My herb garden is thriving at the moment, and I’m trying different things. I made rosemary salt too; that is delicious.

Thank you. Cheap and easy — so it ticks a lot of the important boxes for me.
