My road-trip hydrangea has almost finished flowering, so I thought I should capture its three blooms before it’s too late.
I’m still playing with the multiple exposure feature of the camera, so it’s a three-in-one shot for this week’s Friday Flowers.
Thanks for the final update Su ๐

Beautiful. The technique adds extra layers of beauty to an already beautiful subject.

Thanks Darren. It’s fun — and less random now I’ve taken a bit of time to figure out what I can actually do with the camera in that mode.

One of my aims with the new camera is to try focus-stacking but having spent a week at work wrestling with instrument software problems it is the last thing I feel like doing this weekend๐

I can understand that! I’m really interested to see the results when you do feel like trying this out.

Thanks Lois. I’m pleased too. There is lots of new growth, so I may have to get it out of the pot and into the ground before too long.

Glad to see it is flourishing! Hmmm, do flourish and flower come from the same root?

Apparently, yes. Both from the Latin flos = flower

What an interesting colour Su. It can’t decide whether to be pink or blue….

๐ it’s both. The plant has both pink and purple flowers.

Hehe! Love your three-in-one shot, Su! It also reminds me of the Desert Island interview with Hugh Bonneville I’ve listened to this week whilst doing pottery. He chose Peter Sellers impersonating Laurence Olivier and ‘singing’ a ‘A Hard Days Night’ – it was brilliant! ๐

Ooh! Iโll have to download that. I think Hugh Bonneville is great, and I so love that Peter Sellars recording. The boy-child and I used to play a game where weโd โperformโ song lyrics โin the styleโ of something totally different. I was rubbish at it, but the boy is a very good mimic and much quicker-witted than me. He was hilarious.

He really is! It was a great interview and I really liked his song choices. ๐ That sounds like a very fun game the two of you had, wish I could have joined you! ๐
