Thanks Lois. That glass was a Christmas gift, in the mid-80s when I was writing a thesis late at night with a bottle of red for company/inspiration. It’s still my favourite glass.
Thanks Janet. I was actually alone; T is in Adelaide. I don’t often drink alone, but I’d had a long, slightly stressful day (including a broken windscreen from a stone thrown up by someone driving way too fast). A glass of wine while watching the sunset was just what I needed.
Thanks Darren. I did; my day had been slightly derailed by a cracked windscreen that happened about 70km from home on the way to somewhere else. It wasn’t bad enough to scupper the trip, but a bit scary (loud!) and very annoying.
Cheers Sue 🙂

Thanks. It was a gift to me about 35 years ago, and I love it.

Slainte! I’m hoping a glass of something is coming my way soon. Maybe a nice European red …

Drinks as a political statement. I might have to open my bottle of Tobermory and have a wee dram (later you understand; it’s not even 10am here).

Of course! Not long after I commented, a French Malbec appeared like magic. And just as quickly disappeared.

Tasty and in a beautiful glass. I’m guessing you also had good company, so what more could you ask?

Sounds perfect. A glass is good, a bottle not so much. 😁

Hehe. If I managed half a bottle, I probably couldn’t remember where I’d put the other half.

I noticed this in your reply to another comment. It could have been a lot worse, as you say.
