That first shot is striking — my first reaction was that it’s a bloodied calla lily — is it two flowers? or is the red part a part of the bud process? LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Fallen conifer leaves that got caught in the flower. The area was carpeted with them. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Thank you — it certainly makes a striking contrast to the white of the calla lily, and a great background! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Eautiful, but I can’t work out what the red part is, but it does enhance the composition LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Fallen conifer leaves (not sure what kind). That’s also the red in the blurry background LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
The first photo is charming. Love the extra red bit and the red background. I have a couple of the white calla lilies, but only leaves appeared this year! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Thanks Jude. Calla and arum lilies grow wild all around here, and are — like so many lovely plants — considered invasive. LikeLike Reply
