oh my – but beautiful it is. I – on the other hand – have to say that I don’t get everybody’s obsession to have the most beautiful mask, as they are truly Works of Art but as impractical as it gets. How do you ‘cook’ (wash) them at the required 60°C – several times per day, which in itself is an aberation as NOBODY in the whole world is putting a washing machine on with just one or a few masks. Then, the throw-away masks most certainly are NOT environmentally friendly at all, but if they go in the trash and not discarded anywhere else, at least they serve the ‘normal’ needs of its wearer…. I have many photos of dear friends sewing their days away making the prettiest and sexiest masks but somehow I’d still rather read a book. BUT you’ll get your gold star for the sunniest, friendliest, and most summery mask of the month! 🙂
I only need the masks if I’m going shopping, so don’t use more than one a day. Like Janet, I hand-wash them, or put them in with other hot-wash stuff. I made enough that we manage quite well with that system.
So cute and wonderful colors. Our younger daughter made us several mask. I don’t put them in the wash machine when I get home, but I wash them by hand with soap and hot water, then put them out on the back patio where I would think the 100 degree F temperature (or higher) might take care of any residual germs. They also dry in about 1 hour!! 🙂
Janet, YES, that way it all makes sense! I also thought that putting these works of art in a washing machine must be ruining them. Tks for pointing this out. Stay safe.
Well if you have to wear the blasted things, you may as well do it with panache, Su. This really is rather fab.

It IS fab, but will you really be able to chuck that in the washing machine between trips to the shops?

I sewed pins onto the flowers, so they detach from the actual mask and I can sanitise them separately.

I only see Margaret’s comment and your reply now – as I’m often only able to reply in the reader….

I don’t know that it ruins them, but I can’t run the washer every time I need to clean a mask, so this way works well.
