One of the most beautiful (and most frequently visited) beaches in New Zealand, Cathedral Cove is divided in two by the rocky cliff shown in the photo. What looks like a cave is actually a huge arched tunnel through which visitors can walk.

Also sneaking this into Debbie’s One Word Sunday, which this week is Arch.
Aaaah, just tell me: Do I swim there, fly, walk, drive???? I’m coming….

Thanks Jo. The second one isn’t much of a photo, but justifies my OWS participation 😉

Definitely attractive, Su. I can’t recall in what book I read about Coromandel but I think the arch might have been part of a virtual walk on the treadmill at our former gym.

That would make sense. It is a very popular tourist attraction. When we visited, the track was very busy and the other part of the beach really crowded.
