I thought so too. The actual gallery has been closed for a few years to allow a complete redevelopment with earthquake strengthening. This exhibition, in another building, gave artists access to the old building to use in art, or to photograph or paint.

It was really interesting. Actually it’s a great gallery and hopefully by the ti e were there on our road-trip, the original building will be renovated and open again.
