Children are pretty good at finding the adults they want to be around. When he was young, the boy-child would often make a beeline for a particular person and (sometimes literally) throw himself into their arms, ignoring everyone else present. Gotta say, he had great instincts.

These all look wonderfully comfortable, Su. Did you make the pillows and the blanket? (I’m guessing you did.) I like your desk and I’d love to come by for a drink later, as it’s only 8 am here, a bit early. 🙂

You’re welcome any time.
Yes to the blanket and pillows. There is a shop in Auckland that sells used textiles from Japan. They have a wonderful collection of obi and kimonos

Some years ago when out younger daughter went to Japan, she brought back a kimono that she found at a thrift store. She said most Japanese don’t buy used clothing and such, so she was fortunate.

I agree with the above note – cats and children are pro’s in this. Wonderful memories and beautiful captures. I am also with you in the Austen Quote – just love the kimono cushions!

I like ALL your comfy things, words, deeds, feelings, works – yes….. I like those afternoons with a good book, a drink, a warm blanket if it’s a cold day or a fan whirring if it’s hot…..

Love this. I’ve finally embraced making small changes to my little studio apartment to make it comfortable. Last month I invested in a comfy chair to use at my little art desk (it’s like a chair seat and back without legs).

So true about children, and animals too! Last weekend a dog tried adopting me for it’s new mommy. 😂
And I’d say I’m most comfortable with a book just about anywhere except the loo – can’t get why people choose to read there. 😁

I think I can comfortably read anywhere except in a moving car.
