It looks a lot like my paints – rather messy but they still work. As for keeping busy, yeah… but I get excited about the subject of the painting. I’m going to post the one I’m working on, on Wednesday. It’s called “The Kiss – Covid-19”.

While definitely not pretty, I really like this photo. It reminds me of my father tinkering in the basement with his paints. The strong smell of the oil‘s and acrylics. And his happy fascination with the blank canvas. Thank you😀
And I hope you know what I meant by “definitely not pretty.“. You take great photos but I don’t think the purpose of this one was beauty. I think it was more a unique view of the subject:).
😀 It’s an interesting quote: a bit ambiguous. I decided to understand it as “the result matters less than the doing”, but maybe that’s not what she meant 🤔
That is repulsively fascinating. 😉

Yep. There was a whole basket of assorted oozing oil paints, but I love that green.

Green, eh ? If you say so .. [grin]

My painting certainly wouldn’t be! I’d best find another way to keep busy 🙂 🙂

Mine isn’t up to much either. This was taken in a friend’s studio; I just found the gooey top and oil drip quite mesmerising 😬😉

I understand. I fell that more and more I’m moving on from pretty in photography

I love that. Pretty is nice but I usually find that when we move on from pretty, that’s where we find our depth. In just about anything 🙂

Ah gorgeous, I can almost smell it, inspires me to get into my loosely termed “studio” in other words “ my play room!!!”

I like play room: that’s what mine is too.

That’s really a good photo, Su, but rather yucky looking. 🙂 Has sort of a Godzilla vibe to me because of the color.

Oh my gosh! It took me a while to figure out what it was …. even with your quote as clue. Illicited a rather visceral reaction!

One look and I’m wondering if it’s hooker’s green, but think it’s a bit grey for hooker’s. Reminding me to get out the drying out tubes. 😉

That’s a well-used tube. I love your eye for what would make an interesting photo.

First thing that came to mind is – where’s the lid? 😉

Hehe. I confess I wanted to find the lids too; but they aren’t my paints

At first look I thought it was some kind of matcha paste with oil on top! 😁 Sadly I think I have to disagree with grandma Moses. 😉
