Did you see that WONDERFUL series with Sam Neill following Cook’s career/voyages around the Pacific et al, Su ? I’ve just finished binge-watching it on iView: I’m sure you could access it in your version thereof ..
I haven’t seen it so thanks for that. I will check the assorted streaming services. I am rather fond of Sam Neill (and old enough to remember him in Sleeping Dogs — the first film of our industry’s revival).
I know! Sometimes I feel like T and I are the only people out walking who aren’t plugged into their phone, and are actually enjoying the experience of being out.
Reminds me of all the people who are out walking but are talking on or looking at their phones all the time. I want to yell at them to wake up, look around, enjoy seeing things. Sigh.

This was an unexpected image-caption pairing, with a great Aha ! (after some squinting) and then a Huh, really?

Yes; it always amazes me to find people on their phone while they’re in beautiful places.

I don’t know if the next generation will be able to function in social situations without their devices.

I suspect you are right. My son engages with his phone in ways that are alien and anathema to me.

I never thought I would ever be this affected by the “generation gap”. I used to scoff … I regret doing that now.
