“It’s a new dawn … (and I’m feeling good)”

In an effort to improve mobility in my arthritic knee, I’m seeing a physiotherapist who has given me a new exercise programme. Since the best place to add something to my day is the beginning, I’m getting up earlier.

Beautiful morning skies are an added bonus.

The post title comes from the song “Feeling Good” by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse, made famous by the fabulous Nina Simone.

“But soft! What light …”

Early morning mists create wonderful soft light and I’m lucky to live in an area that still has some tall trees to silhouette against the lightening sky.

The post title comes from the famous balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet. Though of course, Romeo was using “soft” as an exclamation, and was certainly more interested in wooing Juliet than any quality of the light around them.
