All of my Christmas gifts have been bought (well, almost all of them). So this afternoon, with the Big T still in Detroit and the boy-child at work, I set myself the task of wrapping them ready for Friday.
This year I’m mainly giving experiences rather than things, so it’s a challenge to package these promises of fun and adventure in tangible forms that will look pretty under the tree.
Luckily I’m a hoarder of craft materials. Gathered together, I think I’ll find enough to produce some interesting-looking packages.

Sounds like fun!

Yeah; it is. I love this creative part of Christmas. Think I might have gone a bit overboard this year colour-coordinating all the wrapping and ribbon.

What a brilliant idea for the ‘wpc’ theme this week! All I can say is, ‘GOOD LUCK!!!’ with the wrapping. 🙂 Its my least favourite Christmas task! LOL!
But judging by the photo Su, I’m sure you will do a wonderful job of it!! 🙂

Oddly enough Andy, it’s a bit I really love. I worked in a pharmacy during the Xmas break when I was a student and we wrapped so much perfume and stuff — usually when the queue at the till was about 10 deep — that I got quite handy at it. I realised how automatic it had become when I was half way through wrapping a box of nit treatment, looked up and saw the totally puzzled look on the customer’s face. Oh well.

LOL!!!!! I bet that’s the best wrapped nit treatment ever!!
My wife enjoys wrapping presents, so generally I leave her to do all that side of things, so I can’t complain too much.

We are also doing more experiences than gifts. I love it. Post pics of your finished products, please!

Thanks Lesley. Nice to know we’re not the only ones. It gets so difficult to find “things” even for the people we love the most. And experiences are a great way of making sure we spend time together, which is the most important thing.

Su, great interpretation. I like almost everything about Christmas, except putting away the decorations, but this year I wasn’t able to do much creative wrapping. Just didn’t have enough time! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
