Calendula (Marigolds) are such lovely flowers especially en masse. I have some in my garden that self-seeded from last year and they have been flowering for ages. Don’t tell me these are in flower now?
That’s interesting. I read they can grow all year round in some warmer parts on NZ, but I hadn’t thought of Palmerston North as having particularly warm winters; though it has been amazing the last few days.

Yep. Gorgeous garden full of them in Palmerston North. Weather here glorious — I’m slightly stunned at how good!!

They are seriously early. Ours don’t flower until early summer, but go on for months.

Yes; I spent the day driving g through pretty parched-looking farm land. It shouldn’t be like this in the middle of winter.
