Travel Photo, no. 7

Brian at Bushboy’s World invited me to join him and other bloggers posting a travel photo a day for ten days.

The deal is I also invite someone else each day to join in, and have them ping-back to my post.

I know how busy many of your blog schedules are, so I am always a bit loathe to nominate people.

But … many of you have travelled much more than me and have wonderful archives to dip in to …and I do really enjoy seeing the world through your eyes.

So if there is anyone in our blogging whanau who hasn’t already been shoulder-tapped and would like to join in … please do.

It’s been too long since the Big T and I had a “proper” holiday, and wanderlust has definitely set in.

Perhaps a return trip to Tahiti, where we enjoyed a week with our boy-child when he was still young enough to want to holiday with his folks.

Almost Wordless Wednesday: dreamy

Even on an overcast day, the Pacific Island of Tahiti is the place of my dreams. This is the island of Mo'orea seen from the beach at Punaauia, Tahiti. Photo: Su Leslie, 2010.

This post was written for the  Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge. It was tempting to offer a shot of Tahitian bure in a golden sunset, but in many ways the day we spent exploring a stretch of coastline at Punaauia in the rain is more memorable and more embedded in my dreams. Tahiti is a magical, dreamy place to which I will return one day.
