In need of a change of scenery after days of trying to bring order to the chaos of stuff we’ve accumulated, I sneaked off to the glasshouses of the Winter Garden at the Auckland Domain.
Bold, vibrant, cheerful; the best kind of colour therapy.
This post was written for the Daily Post Photo Challenge. The theme is vibrant.

That top one is beyond gorgeous, one of my favourite colours.

And here I am envious of the cold “up North.” I don’t do heat and humidity well.

I agree with you. Heat and humidity are grossly overrated.
Today is a perfectly un-typical winter day at 7C. If this were spring or fall, we would be squeaking in dismay at the cold, but because it’s winter … Hallelujah! 🙂

Those gardens are some of the best in the world- I took thousands of shots when we visited!
I love your selection Sue

Gorgeous. There is a dahlia show down here next weekend but I can’t go – tied up with the market both days.

Thanks Raewyn. Hope you get good sales at the market next weekend.

Thank you, Su, that is what is needed for the dreariest part of the winter.

I love flowers and treasure the roses and dahlias that survived our summer heat. These photos are wonderful to look at especially this afternoon as I catch my breath after a long and busy day.
