I keep looking on my morning walks, but I don’t think it’s been warm enough yet. My great sadness is that when I visit in France in July, the death trumpets (vastly edible despite this name) won’t be up. But perhaps we’ll find other delicious ‘shrooms to eat.
I’m not brave enough to eat any of the wild fungus I find growing around my place. I guess I should learn more about it; it does seem a waste of nature’s gifts.
Such a happy family amongst the Bokeh greens!Beautiful dear Su π xxx

We only ate these because my s-i-l knew they were safe. In France, every pharmacist can identify mushrooms as safe or unsafe.

That makes so much sense. I doubt I’d find the same skill in pharmacists here.

Cute little group, aren’t they?

Yeah; they really stood out cos they seemed so huddled together. My lawn was kind of carpeted with fungus yesterday; but they’re all dying today.
