I used to be his “official” photographer. Before he could drive I had the job of taking him to skate spots and then filming him repeatedly trying to achieve whatever trick he was aiming for. I seem to remember we got a lot of good shots that particular day — which wasn’t always the case.
Great action shot of your boy. Such concentration in that face!
(Though I am a little worried that he has been in a messy accident in that ‘blood’ splattered T-shirt) π
Thanks so much for sharing this link and article – itΒ΄s perfect! I totally love it! How wonderful that thereΒ΄s no a possibilty for the young girls to have some fun, do sports, develop confidence and pride in their skills!
I remember when I skated as a kid, I was the only girl doing it, all the others never showed any interest in it, so I had to hang out with the boys after school which was kind of weird but soon was more fun than hanging out with the girls and discussing boy-bands. π
Iβm glad you liked it. I think they are so cool.
I know what you mean about being the only girl interested in something. I really never βgotβ the music girls at school listened to nor saw the attraction of their pop idols. To be fair, this was the era of David Cassidy and Gary Glitter π, but there were girls I knew who were crazy for them.
A definite keeper!! Great action shot

Hehe. I think it was a phase he and his friends were going through. There was a bit of a production line at our place; paint and t-shirts everywhere.

Recognized him immediately. I like the woman in the background. She gives an interesting perspective to the photo.

Thanks Leya. I donβt know who the woman was; she was just beautifully in shot. The mother was behind the camera. π

I try to imagine someone being crazy for Gary Glitter… nope, won’t work. ππ
