In an effort to improve mobility in my arthritic knee, I’m seeing a physiotherapist who has given me a new exercise programme. Since the best place to add something to my day is the beginning, I’m getting up earlier.
Beautiful morning skies are an added bonus.
The post title comes from the song “Feeling Good” by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse, made famous by the fabulous Nina Simone.
I am a firm believer in the power of PT! Good luck!

The title of this post called me in since I’ve just today shared on FB this amazing version by a 10-year-old. I hope I can add it here. If you don’t like it, delete.

If you just heard her voice without seeing her, you’d never guess her age.

No her voice is very mature. There’s another young vocalist called Jackie Evancho. You should check her out Su.

Thanks Jo. I’m already feeling an improvement and kicking myself (with the good leg) for not taking control of this sooner 🤨

Mornings are wonderful and I have done my spin class at 05:45 mornings, twice a week for years!

That IS early. I could be awake then, but not already at the gym.

One of my favorite songs. Arthiritis, now I understand why you are in NZ. My step Mum movd there for the same reasons in the 1980’s. Still there of course.

The arthritis is recent. We moved back when our son was little so he could have a Kiwi childhood. For a few years, we wondered if we’d done the right thing, but I’d hate to be in the UK now 🙁

Thank you. Next week the physio’s “proper” exercise programme begins — and I’ll probably want to retreat to a dark corner with chocolate cake.

Good luck with the knee! Those can be so tricky. And I’m happy to say I knew that was an NS song. I’ll take that as proof I’ve still got it:)>
