This may be a lousy representation of my month as a whole, but I think it’s a fairly good visual metaphor for my flu-addled state right now.
I’m not likely to get a proper Changing Seasons post up for a few more days, but for all the fit folks who have their monthly round-up ready, go ahead and ping-back to this post and when I get a full post up I’ll copy the blog roll to that too.
About The Changing Seasons
The Changing Seasons is a monthly challenge where bloggers around the world share what’s been happening in their month.
If you would like to join in, here are the guidelines:
The Changing Seasons Version One (photographic):
- Each month, post 5-20 photos in a gallery that you feel represent your month
- Don’t use photos from your archive. Only new shots.
- Tag your posts with #MonthlyPhotoChallenge and #TheChangingSeasons so that others can find them
The Changing Seasons Version Two (you choose the format):
- Each month, post a photo, recipe, painting, drawing, video, whatever that you feel says something about your month
- Don’t use archive stuff. Only new material!
- Tag your posts with #MonthlyPhotoChallenge and #TheChangingSeasons so others can find them.
If you do a ping-back to this post, I can update it with links to all of yours.

Yes; and the weather has turned cold, so I guess winter has truly arrived.

I agree with Kiki. Stay off the computer and rest! I’m running late this month too and things are conspiring against me!

Hope you’re ok. I’ve hit the “well enough to be bored, but too sick to do much about it” stage 🤨

I’m much better than I was, the Sciatica pain has reduced a lot, but still problems with numbness and a painful ankle. Son in for an operation on Friday which coincides with OH’s 70th birthday so everything happening at once! We were supposed to be going away to celebrate, but the timing didn’t work out 😢

I hope your son’s op went well and he has a good recovery. Great that the sciatica is lessening — hope the numbness and ankle pain goes soon.

Op cancelled (as was our holiday to be there for him). So take two…

☹️ cancelled or postponed? Hope he’s ok.

Postponed due to equipment failure. Sigh… only in the NHS. Plus consultant/surgeon away next week.

Aaaagh. My brother has had this happen to him too, on more than one occasion. Actually, it happens here too; over-stretched public systems. Never seems to affect consultant’s holiday plans though does it?

What a bummer you are still under the weather. Take care. Hopefully healing is on the way.
I’ve separated out my seasons posts for this month. One for horse stuff and one for all the other stuff.

Sorry to hear you still under-the-weather. I appreciate that general lack of energy and enthusiasm for anything when you’re not feeling well. Hope you can shake it all soon.

Thanks Joanne. I am feeling better now. The worst thing in the end was boredom — too sick to do much, but well enough to resent it.

Those are the worst! There is only so much reading and watching TV that one can do before you start to get a little squirrely.

Thank you. I haven’t had the flu for nearly 20 years, and had forgotten how miserable it is. I am feeling better now, but a bit annoyed that I lost so many (sunny) days to it. 🙂

Feel better. Have you considered a flu shot? It’s not that I haven’t gotten sick since I started getting flu shots, but I have not gotten the flu or anything close to I and I am SO glad. I used to get flattened by it every year, usually followed by pneumonia.
Have you tried chicken soup? It’s my best recipe for days of unwellness.

This is my first bout of flu for 17 years, and only my third ever. I’m a huge fan of chicken soup (vaccinations not so much), and am making some as I write this. Making soup was one of the first things I dragged myself out of bed to do 😀

I got the flu in 96. It was really horrid. Glad to see you are on the mend. Is it too late to enter for May?

Hi Mick: never too late. I’ll get your post added to the blogroll.
I’ve only had the flu three times in my life — and I hope I never get it again.
