The last image on my camera taken in Jan 2020; no editing. Su Leslie 2020
Brian at Bushboys World asks ‘what was the last photo you took in January 2020?’
I love these impromptu challenges (which I hope will become regular), as I seldom look at the date on my photos and almost never leave them totally unedited.
So Brian’s challenge rules:
1. Post the last photo on your SD card or last photo on your phone for the 31st January.
2. No editing – who cares if it is out of focus, not framed as you would like or the subject matter didn’t cooperate.
3. You don’t have to have any explanations, just the photo will do
4. Create a Pingback to this post or link in the comments
5. Tag “The Last Photo”
Mmmm… that looks very nice! No link to Brian’s site though? I shall have to hunt him down.

It’s a cool idea. And yes, it’s always nicer when a third party points out the cock-ups.

I have a bumper harvest of plums, and I’ve already made sauce and chutney. 😬

I agree, great prompt. I might join in but I’m sure my unedited photo won’t be half as good as yours! lol

I got really lucky with that because it was part of a staged shoot — the end in fact, when I’d tweaked composition and lighting. Don’t think I’ll be as lucky next time.

It’s a great idea … but this month I’ve already used mine in my last post. Lovely looking jam … with very high-class labels.

Thanks. I like the idea of round labels — but they’re a pain to cut by hand 🤨

You are taking orders? Beautiful photo, Su. My empty toast awaits…. 😀

I’d love to, but the last time I looked at delivery costs I needed a lie-down. The problem with being so far away from everything.

Thank you Su. I will be home again this weekend after several more nights in a hotel so will have a look at the memory card.

How is the renovation going?

Another week at least. Flooring dude refused to lay the floor until the builders come back and level it properly….

Aaagh! Can’t blame him, but what a pain.

Yep. So we have a functioning toilet but no bath, shower, sink or even light – using an LED lantern and washing in the kitchen. On the positive side – the tiles look lovely😄

Yumyum! Love plum jam, and would love to try this especially since it’s with cardamom which I also love. And what a great impromptu challenge by Brian! Your photos doesn’t need any editing btw. 😍

Cardamom is a very underrated spice here and I adore it.
I was lucky with this shot — I always have plenty that need a bit of editing, especially since I shoot in manual mode and I take some absolute howlers.

Since many Turks and Arabs as well live in Berlin cardamom is easy to get by though I’m not sure how many people outside these communities actually use, my guess is it’s pretty underrated to. I used to put a capsule of it with some cinnamon in my coffee filter before adding the coffee. That was back in the day when I was still getting used to it. 😉

My Mom used to make jam from a Damson plum tree in our backyard!

Oh yum. My mum has always preferred damsons for jam-making. I might have to see if I can find a damson tree to plant 😀
