(1) The Bread and Butter Project was created by the Bourke Street Bakery, Sydney, Australia. It is a social enterpries providing baker training and employment pathways for communities in need.
I say ! – you go from good to better !
Tell me, did we say next Wodens lunch ?

The boys think so. Foccaccia-making is now up for consideration as a super-power. Apparently I need to perform the miracle a couple more times (T-speak for “make more bread.”). Lunch Wed sounds excellent. I checked the weather forecast, and I think I’ve probably picked the worst time to visit the exhibition, but will try to get out there Sunday/Monday before my enthusiasm for crowds disappears totally. So pick a spot and a time and I’ll see you there. Will email you too with my list of “Sydney public transport” questions and contact details. See you soon.

oh dang that looks tasty! I’d have that with liver pate, saute onions and a good wine.

Sounds yummy. Good with tomato soup too (I know this empirically). π

Thanks Anabel. I’m off to Sydney at the end of the week, and am thinking I’ll pop in to one of the bakeries for a wee comparison test! Seriously, their project to help refugees and other new Australians into work is a really good one. π

Oh yes, just for comparison – of course! Agree about the project – great idea.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. I tend to think of bread-making as alchemy of the highest form and a bit beyond my abilities, but I’m learning that it’s not so! So enjoyable to take flour, salt and water and turn them into sustenance and pleasure for those I love.

Well I do hand it to you. I wouldn’t even attempt it. LOL

At least it’s consistent. We’ve had weeks in a row of 30+ degrees one day, sub-20 degrees the next. It’s confusing my wardrobe.
Bread looks super!

True; I think the constant change would do my head in. I haven’t even begun to think about a summer wardrobe, though I need to pronto. Off to Sydney at the weekend for the Bondi exhibition. Yay!!!!
