The cavolo nero I’ve been enjoying all winter from the garden is going to seed and producing heads of beautiful yellow flowers. The bees love them.

Beautiful and so uplifting! I love the bee too, so much fun to photograph bees and they never bother you either. Just busy at work.

Thank you. It is really rewarding to get a bee shot that’s in focus.

So many vegetables end up with beautiful flowers that we don’t ever see – I am glad I get to see these!

π I’m wondering if I can harvest seeds from this one. I’ve grown coriander from seed like that, but nothing else so far.

You should try – if it fails, oh well. But if it succeeds, that’s great.

Very pretty Su. I think I shot these as well but I had no idea what they were.

Yum. I know you can stuff and fry zucchini flowers, but I haven’t heard of cooking these ones. I’ll have to check it out!

π¦ We seem to have lots of bees in the garden — on the citrus and rosemary as well as the cavolo nero. I heard someone in the neighbourhood has a hive, but I’m not sure if that’s true.

I will probably get more bees when the borage starts to bloom.

Thank you π i was surprised to see the little orange thing on the bee’s leg — like one of those inflatable armbands you put on kids at the swimming pool π
