Black and white are the colors of photography. To me they symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is forever subjected. — Robert Frank
I agree with Peter. Leave it to Frank to delve deeper into the art of black and white! It is pretty cool how that picture in color would have a completely different feel. Very nice!
That’s a beautiful shot, Su, and the quite goes perfect with it. Despair and hope – there’s always lots of the first, and sometimes not enough of the latter…

I love black and white photography. Always so dramatic. Same with black and white movies. Maybe because I grew up without color television!

๐ I only got a colour TV when I was a teenager, and I love b&w movies too. Colour can be a distraction from plot and character.

I love b&w photography and cinematography. You focus so much more on structure and โcharacter.โ

Love shot, Su. But I was a bit distracted by the header photo of croissant and fruit. ๐
