Ok, lots of words. But I’m still posting this to Debbie’s One Word Sunday | where — because when I started thinking about it, this is where I ended up.
NICE POST SU, CHINA

with regards to your last para: That’s me!
Our Swiss writer Gottfried Keller and Blaise Pascal (fight it out who said it first!) said: I’m writing you a long letter because I haven’t got the time to write a short one. This is a wonderful post and I don’t mind the multitude of your words Su Leslie… Thank You and wishing you and all your readers a Happy Sunday. (two words!)

Thank you Joanne. I had a bit of an epiphany yesterday about what makes me happy and how to manage my short attention span!

You kitchen must be a good size because I notice you don’t have any upper cabinets around the stove. I love the look but really need that extra storage.

It is a big kitchen, but the decision not to install high cabinets came about because I’m only 160cm tall, and we have slightly deeper than normal counter-tops. I’d never be able to reach anything up high! We have a lot of drawers and also a butler’s pantry with storage too.

That would be plenty of space. I’m pretty tall (almost 5’7″) so I have no trouble reaching up high. We do need those upper cupboards….

High cupboards had been the bane of my life in our other kitchens, so I am very happy with what I have now. The kitchen is entirely our design (and the Big T built it). We had designers in, but they plans they came up with were really impractical and bore absolutely no relationship to the brief we gave them.

That often happens with designers…you’d think they would be listening carefully…

A delightful collection of still-lifes Su, you are so creative. I can’t settle to anything at the moment, I am way behind in reading blogs and every time I step into the garden for five minutes, a couple of hours seem to disappear! But I still haven’t emptied pots or sown seeds!

Thank you Jude. 🙏
I know what you mean; today is the first in ages I’ve settled to anything. I was so I
impressed by your photoshop twirl I had to give it a go. It’s taken me ages (note to self — don’t just skim-watch the tutorial) to get something I’m happy with. Tomorrow’s blog post 😀

Haha, I had to keep pausing the tutorial and then I typed up the key instructions so I can read what I have to do! 😂
