I was so taken with Desley’s Five Minutes with Ms Robot post — where she shot the same scene multiple times over a five-minute period — that I thought I might do the same.
I only remembered while the Big T and I were enjoying a few drinks to celebrate ticking off another of the “things-we-have-to-do-to-get-the-house-on-the-market” jobs, so I definitely didn’t exceed the five minute restriction.
I’ve also played a bit more with the editing than Desley, but for me that’s part of the fun.

Wow Su, these are fabulous. You’ve really shown us so much in just 5 minutes. And I love the edits!!!!! My first post (Hellenic Republic) had a bit of play with edits, but yours are awesome. Thank you SO much for joining in π

Thank you so much! I had a few false starts with this; you set the bar pretty high! But this is such a fun thing to do, I can see it becoming a regular photographic activity. π

Isn’t it? It somehow calming and it makes you think. I really enjoy it. It’s something I was already doing with product photography and I didn’t even realize it. Although I often move the product, which I try not to do anymore.

Looks like you had a good time, and yet the champagne did not impair your photography skills! π

Thanks Amy. The trick is to take the photos first!

I did notice that the glasses were full, but it COULD have been your second glass! π

True; but I’m not much of a drinker and the shots would be getting a bit wonky after a couple of glasses.

I just love the editing! And the Freixenet π xxx

Thanks Sarah. It’s something that holds such strong taste memories for me; always takes me back to summers in the UK when the Big T and I had time to explore the countryside and have picnics.

Hi Su, How do you create these montages please and then post as a whole image, thank you. PS They are lovely!

Hi Julie; I used the “tiled mosaic” option in the photo library. I selected all the images I wanted, and WP sends you to a page to tune the layout. It can take a bit of time to get the right look, but has the advantage of showing each image at full size when someone clicks on the montage image.

sounds like a cool challenge and the diversity you grabbed shows how a five minute period can have so many angles.
and best wished with the house prep….
I feel like we did way too much with our denver home – and if I could go back… well, um – maybe I would have spent more time on other things

Thanks Yvette. I suspect we are over-thinking stuff with the house. We’ve been here for almost 17 years, and it does feel like we’ve accumulated a lot of stuff, and “personalised” the spaces a lot in that time. π

wow that is such a long time.
well take “bubbly” breaks as much as needed….

I agree, what a great concept and gallery of photos. And yes I also think that editing is part of the fun. Glad to hear that you’re managing to get some βthings-we-have-to-do-to-get-the-house-on-the-marketβ jobs done. π

Thanks Amanda. I do wish the list would stop growing. I’m beginning to feel it’s some sort of Sisyphean punishment!

Ah, but (hopefully) in this case there is a reward at the end! A lovely new homestead. π
